About

Back in 2012, we chanced upon a strawberry farm. It was really refreshing to be in the company of plants again. Weekends of my childhood was mainly spent at Grandma's fish farm, with loving cousins. Our days at the farm was spent mainly outdoors. There were always rambutans, mata kuching, even mulberries, which we could pick off the trees. This visit to the strawberry farm piqued my interest to reconnect with nature as a source for food.

I have been researching on food gardens since and am so excited by the recent surge in vertical food farms on rooftops and even corridors of HDB dwellers. Now that we have 3 children, it makes sense to start a garden, which they can forage in.

Forage Garden is a blog to document our attempts to create and maintain a garden where fruits, flowers and leaves can be picked and eaten. Growing in sunny Singapore is a dream because the tropical food garden is evergreen with scents, textures and joy.
